Greyhounds Outlast Bulldogs

The Duluth East Greyhounds hosted the Carlton Bulldogs on Monday evening, winning the matchup in four matches. The Greyhounds lost the first match 25-16 but rallied off three straight matches, 25-23, 25-18, and 27-25, to outlast the Bulldogs.

Lauren Skar led the Greyhounds with 11 kills, while Daisy Hoops followed with 9 kills. Audrey Beaudry had 20 set assists and teammate Maya Callaway had an impressive 36 digs in the victory.

In the loss for the Bulldogs, Taylor Nelson had 13 kills followed by Abby Mickle who had 9 kills. Brynne Mickle had 42 set assists for the Bulldogs.

The Greyhounds move to 4-1 on the season and will be back in action on September 15th when they travel to play Grand Rapids. The Bulldogs fall to 6-3 on the year and will look to bounce back on September 15th when they hit the road to play Silver Bay.
