Eskomos Advance To Final Four

The Esko Eskomos have advanced to the Final Four of the Section 7AA tournament with victories over Moose Lake-Willow River and Greenway.

The Eskomos first game of the playoffs was a 7-5 victory over the MLWR Rebels at Wade Stadium. Ryan Bourgeault got the win, going 6 innings. He allowed 1 earned run on 4 hits while striking out 7 batters. He also chipped in on offense, going 2-3 with a double and 2 RBI’s. Cole Litsey also went 2-3 with a double and 2 RBI’s in the win.

The Eskomos then matched up with the Greenway Raiders, toppling them 14-4 in a shortened 5 inning game. Cole Litsey took home the victory, pitching 5 innings allowing 4 runs on 5 hits. Nick Emanuel powered the offense, going 4-4 with a double and a home run and 5 RBI’s. Tyler Peterson went 2-3 with a triple and 3 RBI’s in the win.

The Eskomos advance to the Section 7AA semi-finals where they will face the Proctor Rails in a matchup of the one seeds. The winner will advance to the Section 7AA finals, whereas the loser will play the winner between Duluth Marshall and Aitkin with a trip to the section finals on the line.

The Eskomos (15-7) and Rails (16-5) will play inn June 7th in Hermantown with a start time of 4:30pm. Earlier this year, the Eskomos got the best of the Rails, winning 7-1.
