Bulldogs Win Regular Season Finale

The Carlton Bulldogs made the trek to Littlefork-Big Falls on Tuesday evening and came home with a victory, winning 9-3, ending the regular season with a win.

Evan Gray got the win for the Bulldogs, pitching 4 innings, allowing 0 earned runs on 3 hits while striking out 6 batters. Nate Nilsen led the Bulldogs offense, going 4-5 with a triple and 2 RBI’s. Gray also chipped in, going 2-3 with an RBI, while teammate Sam Macor also went 2-3 with 2 RBI’s. Jackson Mickle also added to the offense, going 2-4 with a triple and 2 RBI’s.

Taking the loss for Littlefork-Big Falls was Logan Maish, who allowed 8 runs on 11 hits in 5 innings of work.

The Bulldogs end the regular season with a 5-14 record and will head into the Section 7A playoffs as the 6th seed. They will face off with the 3rd seeded Cook County Vikings on May 31st on the north field in Esko. The game will start at 2:00pm with the winner playing again at 4:30pm against the winner of the 2 seed vs 7 seed matchup.
