Section 7A Softball Playoffs Preview

Softball playoffs are right around the corner and here are the match ups to look out for in Section 7A during the 1st round of the playoffs on May 24th.

The Carlton Bulldogs received a 1st seed in the Sub-Section 1 seedings, with a 14-6 record. They will receive a first round bye and will have their first game on May 26th.

In the same sub-section, the South Ridge Panthers (13-4) received the 2nd seed and will take on the 7th seeded Floodwood Polar Bears (0-15) at home with the game starting at 4:30pm on May 24th.

The 3rd seeded Barnum Bombers (8-9) will play host to the 6th seed Cromwell Cardinals (2-14) starting at 4:30.

And lastly, in the sub-section 1, the 4th seed Silver Bay Mariners (8-9) will host the 5th seeded Cook County Vikings (5-8).

In sub-section 2, the Cherry Tigers (15-4) drew a #1 seed. They will take on the 8th seeded Mountain Iron-Buhl Rangers (3-15).

Drawing the 2nd seed, the Nashwauk-Keewatin Spartans (13-2) will host the 7th seeded North Woods Grizzlies (5-12) with the game starting at 4:30.

In the 3rd vs 6th seed matchup, the Littlefork-Big Falls Vikings (14-3) will host the Chisholm Bluestreaks (5-12) on the 24th.

The 4th seeded Ely Timberwolves (7-10) and the 5th seeded Deer River Warriors (6-11) will go to battle at 4:30 in Ely.

All the 2nd round games will be played on May 26th in Cloquet. Good luck to all teams this year in Section 7A.
