Hawks Win a Pair

The Hermantown Hawks girls Softball team proved they are one of the best teams in northern Minnesota  as the Hawks improved to 6-1 Saturday with up a pair of shutout wins in Grad Rapids.

The Hawks opened the day with a victory over section for Princeton by a score of 10-0 as Jenna Reynolds and Hannah Mihalik each had 3 hits in the win.

The Hawks playing later in the day shut out Bemidji by a 10-0 margin to pick up two huge wins as they won their fifth straight game. Kylie Hoff was the winning pitcher and she also added 2 hits in the win, as did Kiera Salo.

The Hawks will be back in action Monday when they face Duluth East, then next weekend they will play down at Eastveiw as they will face some of the states top teams.

Included in the tournament will be Mankato West,, Bloomington Jefferson, Eagan, Hopkins, Maple Grove,  Minnetonka, and host Eastveiw.
