Hunters Double Up Lumberjacks

The Cloquet Lumberjacks played host to the Duluth Denfeld Hunters on Tuesday night, falling victim to the Hunters, losing 10-5.

Trevor Otteson led the way for the Hunters going 2-2 with a double and 4 RBI’s. Nick Hargraves followed suit, going 2-4 with a double and 3 RBI’s and teammates Jarrod Smith went 3-4 with a double and RBI.

For the Jumberjacks, Austin Parenteau had a double with 2 RBI’s, while Joe Backus went 2-3 and Jeremy Bushey went 2-4.

Zane Peterson got the win for the Hunters, pitching 4 inning, allowing 1 run on 7 hits while striking out 3.

The Hunters improve to 3-1 on the year with the victory. They will look to stay on track on April 21st when they take on the Duluth East Greyhounds in a double header with games scheduled to start at 4:00pm and 6:00pm. The Lumberjacks fall to 2-1 on the year and will look to bounce back on April 21st when they host Hibbing with a scheduled start time of 4:30pm.
