Eskomos Fall In Section Finals

The Esko Eskomos and the Pequot Lakes Patriots took battle on Saturday night for the Section 7AA championship. The Eskomos would fall just short of making their 3rd consecutive state appearance, losing 62-58.

The Eskomos trailed the Patriots 29-24 at halftime. They would attempt to rally in the second half, outscoring Pequot Lakes 34-33, but would fall just short.

Ava Gonsorowski led the way for the Eskomos with 21 points. Mac Holland and Macy Sunnarborg also scored in the double digits for the Eskomos with 11 and 10 points respectfully. Selena Shady chipped in 8, Bridget Yellin added 6, and Mandi Dincau rounded it out with 2.

For the Patriots, Olivia Lane led the way with 20 points and Haley Wiebolt added 14.

The Eskomos end their season with a 26-4 record.
