The Esko Eskomos made their 4th consecutive trip to the State Tournament, facing a familiar foe, the team they defeated in the 2014 Class AA Championship game, the Annandale Cardinals. The Cardinals got some revenge for that 2014 matchup, ending the Eskomos season with a 52-40 victory.

At halftime, the two teams were knotted up at 19-19, but the Cardinals came out hot in the second half, outscoring Esko 33-21 to advance in the state tournament.

The Cardinals were led by Jarod Wilken who had 19 points. Brade Weege followed with 12 points in the win.

Isaak Blue had a team high 14 points for the Eskomos in the loss. Alex Walther followed with 10 and Jaxson Turner pitched in 8. Adam Trapp was held to just 3 points, along with Bryce Bottila, and Quinn Fischer rounded it out with 2.

The Eskomos season ends with a 27-4 record. From all of us at Northland Sports Online, we would like the congratulate the Eskomos on another trip to the State Tournament and a successful season.
