Eskomos Return To Section Finals

The Esko Eskomos took on the Virginia Bluedevils on Wednesday night at Romano Gym on the University of Minnesota-Duluth campus. The Eskomos used tough defense to topple the Bluedevils 55-43 and return to the Section 7AA finals for the 5th consecutive year.

The Eskomos jumped out to an early 33-17 lead and never looked back despite the Bluedevils outscoring them 26-22 in the second half.

Adam Trapp led the way for the Eskomos with a game high 18 points. Jaxson Turner followed, as the Senior guard notched 16 points in the win. Also scoring for the Eskomos was Camden Berger with 9, Quinn Fischer with 4, Alex Walther and Isaak Blue each with 3, and Bryce Bottila rounding it out with 2.

The Bluedevils were led by Ethan Youso who scored 9 points. Max Carlson and Bryce Kennedy pitched in 8 a piece in the loss.

The Eskomos move to 26-3 on the year and will look to make their 4th straight trip to the State Tournament, but they will have to get pass the Crosby-Ironton Rangers (25-4) on March 4th. They will tipoff at 7:00pm at UM-Duluth.
