Bulldogs March Past Wrens

The Carlton Bulldogs and Wrenshall Wrens faced off for the third time this season, this time at Proctor High in the 7A second round Wednesday night.

Heading into halftime, the Bulldogs would hold a 24-19 lead, while Wrenshall would make things very tight the next half.

In the second, the Wrens were narrowly outscored by the Dogs 22-21, as they ended up falling 46-40 in the end as the Bulldogs would maintain their dominance of Wrenshall this season, winning all three match ups.

Leading the way for Carlton was Ashley Anderson, scoring 15 points to propel her team to the next round.

Also scoring for Carlton was Abby Lemke 13, Jenna Reed 8, Amanda Groth 4, Elva Kingbird 2, Tara Mostrom 2, and Vanessa Davis 2.

Delaney Kittel had 18 points for Wrenshall in the loss.

The Bulldogs will move on to play Floodwood at Romano Gym this Saturday.
