Barnum Squeaks By Pillager

The Barnum Bombers squared off with Pillager in the first round of the Section 7AA playoffs, narrowly beating them 58-52 on Wednesday night.

The Huskies led the Bombers at halftime, 29-23, but the Bombers overcame the deficit, outscoring Pillager 35-23 in the second half en route to the 6 point victory.

Chris Carlson led the way for the Bombers with 19 points and Hunter Fetters followed with 17. Mason Agurkis hit double figures with 10, Drake Weets pitched in 9, Daniel Gilchrist scored 2, and Kyle Kielty rounded it out with 1.

Ryan Foehrenbacher had a game high 27 points for the Huskies, while Ridge Hunstad chipped in 8, Gage Kuehl and Lee Quick both added 7, and Tanner Swenson topped it off with 3.

The 3rd seeded Bombers improve to 20-7 on the year and will take on the 2nd seeded Isle Huskies on February 27th at UMD. Tip-off will be at 1pm.
