Eskomos Rally To Squeak By Rails

The Esko Eskomos rallied back from a halftime deficit to edge the Proctor Rails 59-52 on Monday night.

The Rails held a 30-22 lead when the halftime horn sounded, but the Eskomos used a strong second half, outscoring the rails 37-22, to secure the victory over the Rails.

Isaak Blue led the way for the Eskomos, notching a team high 19 points. Adam Trapp followed with 16 points and Alex Walther hit double digits with 10. Camden Berger added 9 points, while Trenton Menor and Quinn Fischer rounded it out with 3 points and 2 points respectively.

For the Rails, Jordan Wetterlind notched a game high 25 points. Bryden Urie followed with 15 points of his own. Also scoring in the loss was Chase Urie with 4, Teran Lind and Brody Eldien with 3 a piece, and Dakota Ellis-Ciaccio rounding it out with 2.

The Eskomos move to 22-3 on the season and will look to end their season on a winning note when they host the Moose Lake Willow River Rebels on February 19th. The Rails fall to 17-7 with the loss and will look to bounce back when they travel to Cloquet on February 18th.
