Carlson Powers East Past Esko

The Duluth East Greyhounds snapped a 3 game losing skid on Tuesday night, toppling the Esko Eskomos 71-55 behind 34 points from Cody Carlson.

The Greyhounds held a slight 25-24 advantage at the half but used a strong second half effort, outscoring the Eskomos 46-31 to secure the 16 point victory.

Carlson led all scorers on the night with 34 points. Quentin Miller notched 15 in the win, while Jack Thompson and Joey Zwak each tallied 11 points.

Jaxson Turner had a team high 20 points in the loss, while teammate Isaak Blue followed with 12 points of his own. Adam Trapp was held to just 9 points in the game, while Quinn Fischer tallied 7, Alex Walther pitched in 6, and Camder Berger rounded it out with 1.

The Greyhounds improve to 10-9 on the season, while the Eskomos drop to 15-3. Duluth East will be back in action on January 30th when they travel to play St. Francis. Esko will play again on January 29th when they host Polar League opponent, the McGregor Mercs.
