Cromwell take Wood City Classic

Wood City Classic Girls MVP Chelsea Swatek scored 21 points to lead the Cromwell Cardinals to a 62-50 victory over the Duluth Denfeld Hunters, as the Cardinals captured the 2015 Wood City Title in Cloquet Wednesday.

In a much lower scoring game then the Cardinals were used too Swatek hit five three-pointers to led the Cardinals in scoring as she was named MVP of the girls portion of the tournament.

Cromwell led 25-19 at half time and went on to the 12 point victory. Cromwell saw the Hunters fight and scratch the entire second half but in the end it was the Cardinals sealing the victory.

Bailey Gronner added 15 points in the Cardinal win and it was Taya Hakamaki finishing with 10 points for Cromwell.

The Hunters were led by Eva Reinertson who scored 19 points and her team mate Ashley Taipale closed with 18.
