Rails Need Overtime For Win Against Dragons

It was the Proctor Rails coming out on top in overtime, as they took the 3-2 win over Pine City-Rush City in boys hockey action.

 

In the first period, the Dragon’s Luke Steele scored at the 13:27 mark to give his team the first lead of the night.

 

John Aase of Proctor would tie the game scoring at the 16:28 mark on the power play.

 

Scoring in the second period was Jordan Linder for the Rails (1:21) while RCPC’s Jonah Bergstrom tied it right back up at the 7:26 mark.

 

There would be no scoring in the third period, leading to overtime.

 

In overtime, it would be Derek Dahlgren securing the victory for the Rails, as he scored quick on the power play (0:54).

 

Luke Murphy ended with 25 saves for the Dragons in the loss, while Braxton Sathers had 28 for Proctor.
