Wetterlind Breaks Proctor Scoring Record In Win

Jordan Wetterlind scored Proctors first two points and broke the long standing 51 year record for career points, previously held by Bob Laney with 1,229 points, in their 55-36 victory over the Barnum Bombers on Monday night.

The Rails used strong ball movement in the first half to take an early 29-15 advantage at the horn. In the second half, a 10-0 run over a timespan of 8 minutes propelled the Rails to the victory, outscoring the Bombers 26-21 in the second half en route to their 19 point victory.

Bryden Urie led the team with 15 points and Beau Adams also hit double digits with 10. Jordan Wetterlind scoring 9, which puts him atop of the Rails career scoring list, currently with 1,238 points in his career. John Pioro also had 9 for the Rails, while Chase Urie added 6, Brody Eldien added 4, and Jon Phipps topped it off with 2.

The Barnum Bombers were led by Chris Carlson who scored 14. Hunter Fetters added 7 in the loss, Daniel Gilchrist pitched in 6, Reece Parks scored 4, Kyle Kielty added 3, and Drake Weets rounded it out with 2.

The Rails improve to 5-4 on the season and will look to notch another victory when they travel to play Hibbing on December 22nd. The Bombers drop to 6-3 on the year and will look to bounce back on the road against Virginia on December 29th.
