Carlton Surges Past McGregor

The Carlton Bulldogs girl’s basketball team hosted McGregor Thursday night, as it was a close game the whole way.

 

Seconds before the halftime buzzer, Carlton Junior Jenna Reed nailed a deep three-pointer to tie the game with a score 16-16 going to the half.

 

Carlton would go on to outscore the Mercs 21-16 in the second half to secure the 37-32 victory. Reed led the way for the Dogs with 9 points.

 

Also scoring for Carlton was Ashley Anderson 8, Amanda Groth & Alaina Bennett with 6, Vanessa Davis 2, Millie Groth 2, Mackenzie Goranson 2, Hailey Klassen 2.

 

Shelby Kelley had 10 points in the loss for McGregor, while Averie Seibert pitched in 7 of her own.

 

The Bulldogs will look to add another win, as they will enter the West Lutheran Holiday Tournament starting the 29th. McGregor will look to get back on track as they visit Aitkin the 29th as well.
