Maddie Milczark scored a game high 25 points Thursday night as the Moose Lake-Willow River Rebels beat the Barnum Bombers 71-48 in a polar league girls hoops match up.

Milczarks game high of 25 points featured Maddie connecting from three point land as well as mid range jump shots, drives to the basket and from the free throw line.

Barnum started off fast Thursday as Bailey Wheeler hit three early three pointers to build a five point 17-12 lead midway into the first half. That lead would be short lived as foul trouble put the Bombers top two offensive threats on the bench.

With Wheeler and Emily Miletich on the bench in foul trouble the Rebels went on a 32 -9 run, behind the shooting of Milczark and Jenna Ramberg, to build up a 44-26 lead the break.

The Bombers tried to make several small runs early in the second half but foul trouble again hurt Barnum as both Wheeler and Miletich would foul out midway into the second half which allowed the Rebels to roll to the victory and even their record at 2-2.

Barnum Falls to 1-4 on the season.

Following Milczarks 25 points it was Ramberg who scored 16 points and Ally Bode added 13 in the win. Libbie Ring scored 5 points and hauled in 19 rebounds for the Rebels.

Wheeler led the Bombers with 14 points while Miletich added 10 and it was Mallory Agurkis who finished with 8 in the Barnum loss.
