Hermantown Notches Win Over Proctor

The Hermantown Hawks traveled to play the Proctor Rails on Tuesday night. The Hawks would leave victorious, edging the Rails 80-72.

Proctor lead Hermantown at halftime, 35-30, but the Hawks would overcome the deficit by outscoring the Rails 50-37 in the second half to leave with the 80-72 win.

Thomas Madison and Christian Comstock led the way for the Hawks. Madison had a team high 22 points, while Comstock followed with 20 of his own. Nick Bostrom also hit double digits for the Hawks, notching 17. Also scoring in the win was Caleb Steinert and Zack Brendon with 6 a piece, Isaac Hiner and Cody McShane with 3 a piece, David Birkeland with 2, and Logan Zierden rounding it out with 1.

In the loss for the Rails, Bryden Urie notched 22, John Pioro added 20, and Jordan Wetterlind and Chase Urie pitched in 12 and 10 points respectively. Rounding out the scoring for the Rails was Brody Eldien with 6 and Beau Adams with 2.

The Hawks improve to 2-4 on the year and will be back in action on December 10th when they host Duluth Marshall. The Rails drop to 2-3 on the year and will look to bounce back on December 11th when they host Cloquet.
