Wilderness Drop another Close Battle

Jack LaFontaine made 44 saves and stopped all three shooters in the shootout as the Jets won their 6th in a row, completing a weekend sweep of the Wilderness with a 3-2 shootout win.

 

The Jets jumped out a 2-0 lead thanks to a 1st period goal from Zach Solow and a 2nd period goal from Cole Paskus.

 

The Wilderness came back to tie the game at 2-2 thanks to goals from Aaron Miller and Casey Gilling.

 

In the shootout, Janesville forward Taylor Fernandez was the lone player to score. Wilderness goalie Chase Munroe made 24 saves in the loss

 

The Wilderness fall to 17-7-3 and still are atop the Midwest Division Standings.

 

Janesville improves to 16-6-2 overall.

 

The Wilderness will return home next Friday night when they will face Coulee Region at 7:30 PM.
