The Bulldogs hosted cross-town rivals Wrenshall Monday night, and had no trouble coasting to a 61-81 victory.

Big man Sam Macor paced the Bulldogs offense with 19 points, while Matt Hey added 13.  Tyler Ojibway added 3 three pointers on his way to 11 points, and Jackson Mickle also had double digits, netting 10.

Eric Soderstrom had 9, Waylon Lekander notched 8, Efren Cruz tallied 5, and 8th grader Ben Soderstrom rounded out the pack with 3 points.

Nick Mattson led all Wrenshall scorers with 18 points, as he had 6 threes on the night.

The following Tuesday night the Dogs were back in action, hosting the Spartans of Nashwauk-Keewatin.

After being down 34-28 at the half, Carlton stuck around to make it a tight game until the final whistle.  The game was all notched up until Carlton unintentionally fouled, leading to two made free-throws to end the game in a win for the Spartans 60-58.

Kaleb Pelkey was the high man for the Spartans with 21 points.  Alex Otterbein also chipped in a nice performance with 17 points.

Sam Macor led Carlton with 21, with Eric Soderstrom and Matt Hey chipping in 10 each.

Carlton will look to add to their 1-1 record as they will travel to take on Northland November 7th.
