Many Records Broken In Girls State Swim Meets

Local Names and Teams:

Cloquet-Esko-Carlton’s girls team finished in 17th place, finishing with 39 points. Proctor Hermantown took home 25th place, while Two Harbors-Silver Bay ended in 37th.

 

Taking first place in teams was Visitation, with 312 total points.

 

Cloquet’s Makayla Suominen finished in 3rd place in the 50 freestyle swim, and she also placed 4th in the 100 freestyle. Proctor-Hermantown’s Megan Mensinger placed third in the 500 freestyle also.

Albert Lea set a Class A record in the 200-yard relay, with a time of 1:43.61. Albert Lea’s Lindsey Horejsi set a record of her own, with a blazing time in the 50 freestyle of 22.79.

 

Another record broken was by Visitaion, as they finished with a time of 3:30.66 in the freestyle relay.
