Lumberjacks Fall In Home Opener

In the home opener for the Cloquet Lumberjacks, it was St. Cloud Apollo coming out on top, 79-49. Ethan Novacinski led the way with 18 points. Cole Johnson also had 14 points in the win.

Senior Jordan Diver paced the Lumberajacks with 15 points, with 9 of those coming from beyond the arc. Brandon Hill netted 12 for Cloquet as well.

St. Cloud Apollo jumped out to a quick lead  and never looked back, as they led 51-24 going into the half.

Apollo would then outscore Cloquet in the second half 28-25 to hand the Lumberjacks their first loss on the young season.

The Lumberjacks will head to Princeton as they look to regroup and rebound.
