The Minnesota Wilderness exploded for three goals in the 3rd period, including two from Isak Bergland as the Wilderness defeated the Minnesota Magicians, 4-1 at Northwoods Credit Union Arena Wednesday Night.

The Wilderness celebrating the Veterans Day Holiday picked up their 14th win of the season as the move to 14-5-1 overall just 4 points behind first place Fairbanks.

After a scoreless 1st period, it was the Wilderness who took a lead early in the 2nd period on a power play goal from Aaron Miller. Braxton Collins would score late in the 2nd period to tie the game at 1-1 for the Magicians.

Miller scored his second goal of the game, early in the third period, which turned out to be the game-winner. Miller also assisted on both goals from Bergland who added two insurance goals later in the 3rd period.

Luke Kania picked up the win in goal, making 18 saves, while Will Ulrich made 28 saves in the loss.

The Wilderness will travel to Springfield Illinois this weekend to face the Blues in a two game series.
