Hawks Oust Jacks

Cloquet-Esko-Carlton has been a high scoring girls soccer team much of the season.  On Tuesday night the Hermantown Hawks shut down the Jacks offense and 15 minutes into the game Miranda Rothe slammed a ball into the CEC goal giving her team the only goal they would need and eventually a 1-0 win in the Section 7A semi-final match up.

  The Hawks win advanced them to the Section 7A title game against Princeton which was a 3-0 winner over Duluth Marshall also on Tuesday night.
  For the game CEC goalie Ali Chalberg finished with six saves on seven shots, while Hermantown net minder Carly Zierden recorded four saves to preserve the shutout.
