CEC Moves To Section Finals

The CEC Lumberjacks will be playing in the Section 7A championship after shutting out Chisago Lakes, 3-0 on Wednesday night.

The Lumberjacks got on the scoreboard early when Ryan Willgohs hit the back of the net just three minutes into the game. They would go into halftime with a 2-0 lead after Joe Christianson connected with Jedd Anich who scored at the 22nd minute.

Rob Sobczak score the final goal assisted by George Stein at the 61st minute to advance to win 3-0.

Jay Boder had a perfect day in the net, blocking all 6 shots he faced in the win for the Lumberjacks.

The Lumberjacks have outscored their opponents 15-1 in the playoffs, but the 14-4-1 Lumberjacks will have a tough matchup in the Section Finals as they will play the undefeated Hermantown Hawks (17-0-1), who have blanked their playoff opponents, outscoring them 14-0.

The Lumberjacks have fell to the Hawks twice this season, losing by scores of 3-0 and 4-0.
