Jaxon Turner scored four times and rushed for 291 yards on 22 carries to led the Eskomos to a 41-14 win over Two Harbors in the section 7AAA semi final at Esko Stadium on Saturday.

Turner scoring three of the four touchdowns in the third quarter which sealed the Eskomos win.

The Agates started the scoring Saturday afternoon as the would jump out to a 7-0 lead when Tanner Aho scored on a 10 yard burst for the Agates.

Esko would respond on a three play drive a minute later when Cole Litsey connected with Nick Emmanuel on a 36 yard touchdown pass to the the game at 7-7.

Esko broke the 7-7 tie when Turner scored his first touchdown of the game on a 10 yard touchdown run which made it 13-7.

Spencer Ross gave the Agates the lead back several minutes later when he took the hand-off from Kellar Conrow and sprinted 20 yards down the sideline to give the Agates a 14-13 lead.

Nick Emmanuel who caught a touchdown pass to start the Eskomos scoring threw a 17 yard touchdown pass to Kaden Matteen which gave the Eskomos a 19-14 lead late int he second quarter.

Two Harbors then drove down the filed late in the second quarter and as the Agates threatened to take the lead right before the half ended, it was the Eskomos defense who stood tall with a stand on a 4th down and 1 at the Eskomos 3 yard line and that was the momentum the Eskomos needed as they would reel off three second half touchdowns.

Turner using the Eskomos momentum to start the second half scored on a 7 yard run on the first possession of the second half.

After holding the Agates on their first drive of the second half Jaxon Turner took a hand-off from Emmanuel and broke through the Agate defense and sprinted down the center of the field for the 78 yard touchdown run.

Following that huge scoring play a fumbled pitch by the Agates led to Turners fourth touchdown run of the game, this time it was a 31 yard scamper as the Eskomos never looked back and rolled now into the section finals next Thursday at UMD when the will once again face the Proctor Rails.

Two Harbors who kept the ball on the ground primarily the entire game, finished with a team total 301 yards overall. The Agates were led by Spence Ross who finished with 116 yards rushing while Tanner Aho added 89, and Chad Nordean closed with 80 yards on the ground.

The Agates also turned the ball over four times on the afternoon as Turner and Derek Peterson each had an interception and Chase Bakken recovered two fumbles on the day.

Esko improves to 7-2 on the season while Two Harbors ends it season at 6-4.
