Boys Soccer:

 

Hermantown took down Duluth Denfeld by a score of 7-0. Siji Gonzalez netted a hat trick in the first half of play with three goals. Gonzalez would score a fourth time in the second half as well. Also scoring for the Hawks were Noah Hooey, Ryan Lenz, and Parker Simmons.

 

Duluth East and Shakopee would see no scoring throughout the entire match, as it ended in a 0-0 tie. Corrado Rosato had four saves for East, and Irving Hernandez finished with six saves for Shakopee.

 

Ashland and Duluth Marshall would also see a tie after no goals were scored after the first half of play. Putting it through the net for Marshall was Popo Perrault, while Ryan Lowney scored the only goal for Ashland. Matt Nagro of Ashland ended with three saves, while Nic Semaan also had three for Marshall.

 

CEC defeated Superior 3-0 as Jack Waugh scored two goals to help CEC take the win. Also scoring was Andre Couture. Ethan Cooper ended the night with four saves for Superior, and Jay Boder of CEC ended with three.

 

Girls Soccer:

 

Cloquet-Carlton cruised by Mesabi East Area, exploding for nine goals. Kendra Kelley and Kayla Baker led they way, both scoring two goals to help in the 9-0 win. Ali Chalberg ended with three saves for Cloquet-Carlton, while Sammy Klander of MEA was busy all night, as she had 24 saves.

 

Hermantown nudged by Duluth Denfeld, taking the win 2-0. Scoring in the first half for Hermantown was Callie Hoff, and Sophie McGovern. Carly Zierden had two saves for the Hawks, and Denfeld’s Lexy Schulte ended with 10.

 

Duluth East beat Bemidji 3-1, seeing three different players net a goal. McKenzie Nelson, Emma Spooner, and Jada Olson all scored for Duluth East in the win. Rachel Bitter had the lone goal for Bemidji.

 

Proctor edged out Hibbing-Chisholm by a score of 2-1. Scoring in the first half for Hibbing-Chisholm was Katie Warner. The Rails first half goal was scored by Lily Shubitzke. Netting the deciding goal in the 44th minute of the second half for Proctor was Lori Perich. Christina Waselk had 16 saves for Hibbing-Chisholm, while Chiara DeLuca ended with eight for Proctor.
