UMD Ranked 3rd In Coaches Poll

The University of Minnesota-Duluth Bulldogs are ranked 3rd in the American Football Coaches Association Division II preseason poll for 2015, which was released on Monday.

The Bulldogs, who have been a powerhouse in Division II football, winning 2 National Championships since 2008, received three first place votes, which is six less then the team that ended their season in 2014, the Mankato State Mavericks, who are ranked 1st in the polls.

Coincidentally, the Bulldogs will have the chance to avenge that 44-17 loss in the National Quarterfinals to the Mavericks last season, in the opening game of the 2015 season. That game will take place on Thursday, September 3rd in Mankato at 6pm.
