Wrenshall Cancels Football Season

The Wrenshall Wrens, once again, have to cancel their football season due to lack of players. The Wrens, who finished 8-3 last season and as the Section 5 9-Man runners up, only had 10 kids report to practice on August 10th.

After graduating a large group of seniors last season, it was no surprise to the coaching staff of Wrenshall or the players that went out. In small schools, such as Wrenshall, large graduating classes full of athletes hurts all of their athletics for the year.

This is the third time since 2009 that the Wrens have had to cancel their football season due to lack of players.
