 Foley won the Division II American Legion state championship Sunday with a 6-2 win over Moose Lake in Morris.

The Outlaws lost to La Crescent in pool play on Friday July 31st by a score of 3-2, Moose Lake then rebounded to defeat Morris by a score of 3-1.

The Outlaws advanced into the playoff bracket based on only allowing 4 runs in two games. The playoff bracket started with the Outlaws facing La Crescent for the second time in the tournament and this time the Outlaws knocked of La Crescent by a score of 6-5 in 9 innings to advance to face Foley in the title game.

Foley who had defeated Giantvalley by a score of 1-0 to advance to the championship game.

The Championship was then won as Foley by a 6-2 margin, as both Foley and Moose Lake advance to the Central Plains Regional Tournament, which will be hosted Thursday-Sunday in Le Sueur and Henderson.
