Cloquet Draws Tall Order At State

The Cloquet Lumberjacks (16-4) are returning to the state tournament after defeating the Aitkin Gobblers 14-1 in the Section 7AA finals. The Lumberjacks drew a tough opponent, however, as they will meet the top ranked St. Cloud Cathedral Crusaders (22-0) on June 11th at 10:00am in St. Cloud.

If the Lumberjacks are victorious, they will play again at 12:00pm on June 12th. If they fall to the Crusaders, they will at 10:00am or 12:30pm on June 12th.

In Section 7A, the Deer River Warriors (14-11) will represent the Northland as they take on the New Ulm Cathedral Greyhounds (17-7) at the Mini Met Stadium at 5:30pm.

And in Section 7AAA, the Anoka Tornadoes (20-5) will take on the Lakeville North Panthers (17-7) at 12:30pm tomorrow.
