Rebels go 1-1 in 7AA Playoffs

Ally Bode struck out 11 in the Rebels 5-1 win over Two Harbors in the section 7AA opening game of the double elimination tournament, Bode’s dominance on the mound and timely hitting for Moose Lake-Willow River set up a match up with defending section champion Hermantown.

The Rebels started fast against the Hawks scoring 2 runs int he top of the first inning, but it was the section champs responding back in the bottom of the first taking a 3-2 lead after one inning of play.

The Rebels then struggled with a host of walks and miscues which allowed the Hawks to come away with the 14-4 win. The Rebels outhit the Hawks 8-7 but the walks and mistakes took any chances for a victory away.

Moose Lake-Willow River will play Cloquet on Tuesday up in Grand Rapids.
