Bulldogs Stop Bombers

The Carlton Bulldogs picked up their first won on the season Tuesday afternoon as the Bulldogs picked up a 8-2 win over the Barnum Bombers in Barnum.

Evan Gray struck out 10 batters while only walking 2. He allowed only 6 hits and 1 earned run to pick up the win for the Bulldogs. Mason Agurkis took the loss for Barnum while only giving up 4 earned runs in four innings pitched.

The Bulldogs were led offensively by Dominic Bennett who was 2-3 with 4 rbi’s. Evan Gray put in a nice effort at the plate, going 3-4 with a double and RBI and Mike Moralez went 3-3 in the victory. Nate Nilsen drove in three runs on 2 hits on top of laying out for a catch in the bottom of the 4th inning.

The Bombers were led by Mitchell Weller and Hunter Lake, who both went 2-3 with a RBI.

Carlton moves to 1-3 on the season and they will play in Moose Lake on Thursday against the Rebels in Polar League match-up.

Barnum falls to 1-1 on the season and they will take on McGregor-Cromwell on Thursday in McGregor.
