Lady Rebels Shut out Warriors

The Moose Lake-Willow River Rebels opened their 2015 softball season with a 10-0 shutout victory in six innings of the Deer River Warriors in Willow River Monday afternoon.

Ally Bode went 3 – 4 with 2 RBI’s, while Lauren Pederson was 2-2 with a double and 2 stolen bases. Jessica Paul added 2 hits and a run batted in, while Suzy Grutkowski was 1-3 with a double and 3 RBI’s.

Morgan Pracher scored two runs and added the other hit for the Rebels.

Ally Bode was the winning pitcher Monday as she allowed only 4 hits while striking out 14 and walking only 3 batters she faced.

The Rebels are in action Tuesday when they face Silver Bay in a Polar League match-up in Silver Bay.
