Pivotal Week Ahead for Wilderness

BIG WEEK AHEAD FOR THE WILDERNESS ON AND OFF THE ICE

The Minnesota Wilderness will play two games on the road this week, before returning home for a two-game weekend series versus the Bismarck Bobcats.

This weekend will also mark the annual ‘Military Appreciation Weekend’ , sponsored by Wells Fargo, that the Wilderness host to support all the men and women that are or have served our country. Finally, to cap the week off, it is Wilderness Week at Washington Elementary, ending with Washington Elementary Night At The Rink during Friday’s game this weekend.

MONDAY, MARCH 16 – “Into The Wilderness” Coaches Show at 7:30 PM. The show is filmed at Carmen’s in Cloquet and this episode’s guest are head coach Corey Millen and United States Military Academy (Army) commit Ian Mansfield.

The show will air on CAT 7 TV in the Cloquet Area on Friday, March 20 and also will be available on the Wilderness’s website at the following link: Into The Wilderness
TUESDAY, MARCH 17 – The Wilderness will hit the road to take on the in-state rival, the Magicians in the first of two meetings this week. The Wilderness are 8-1-1 against the Magicians this season.
THURSDAY, MARCH 19 – The Wilderness head to Richfield for their final regular season meeting of the year with the Magicians. Darian Romanko leads the Wilderness in scoring with 51 points (28 goals, 23 assists) and is closely followed by Aaron Miller (49 points), Tyler Cline (41 points), and Ivan Chukarov (39 points).
FRIDAY, MARCH 20 – The Wilderness return home to take on the Bismarck Bobcats. This will be Washington Elementary Night At The Rink, where all students and family members of Washington Elementary will get discounted ticket prices at the gate. We will also be kicking off ‘Military Appreciation Weekend’ with special military themed jerseys being auctioned off in between periods. We will also have the MN Army National Guard on hand to showcase some of it vechiles before the game and also have some cool prize giveaways during the game. All current and former military personal get in free thanks to Wells Fargo. The game is also being sponsored by Boldt Builds.
SATURDAY, MARCH 21 – The Wilderness will play host to the Bismarck Bobcats for the final regular season match-up. The Wilderness are 2-3-1 against the Bobcats this season. The Wilderness will auction off the rest of the special military themed jerseys in between periods and all jerseys can be picked up after the game and signed by the players if you desire during “Skate With The Wilderness”.

All the net proceeds from the jersey auction will be donated to local military families. All current and former military personal will get in free again thanks to Wells Fargo. The game will also be sponsored by The Buffalo House.
