Duluth East withstood a3rd period onslaught via the Grand Rapids Thunderhawks as Gunner Howg stopped 23 of the 24 shots he faced in the period as the Greyhounds held off the Thunderhawks and picked up a 3-2 section 7AA semi final victory and now advance to face the Elk River-Zimmerman Elks Thursday night in the section 7AA champions.

The Thunderhawks outshot the Greyhounds 24-2 in the third period and 41-20 for the game but in the end solid goal tending was the difference at Duluth East advances back to the section 7AA title game.

Duluth East scored the games first goal when Shay Donovan scored at 14:09 of the first period with assists to Ash Altman and Bryton Lutzka. Ash then made it 2-0 when he scored 7:20 into the second period as Donovan and Luke Dow had the assists.

Alex Adams cut the Greyhound lead to 2-1 9:30 into the second as Jonah Bischoff and Daulton Anderson added assists for the Thunderhawks. The Greyhounds again made it a two goal lead when
