Fond Du Lac Topples Wrenshall

The Fond Du Lac Ogichida hosted the Wrenshall Wrens on Tuesday night and came away with the 79-51 victory.

The Wrenshall Wrens fell behind the Ogichida early, trailing 49-30 at the half. They wouldn’t be able to chip away at the lead as Fond Du Lac continued their dominance, outscoring the Wrens 30-21 in the second half to secure the 28 point victory.

Cameron Thompson led the Ogichida with 22 points on the night. Jordan Diver followed as he scored 16 in the win. Also hitting double digits was Justin Brown with 13 points and Dexter Delille with 12. Lester Williamson pitched in 6 points, Allen Trulson added 5, Antonio Flores scored 3, and Nakyle Misquadace rounding it out with 2.

In the loss for the Wrens, Jessie Ellerbe scored a team high 15 points followed by Andrew Frank who scored 12. Aaron Adkins tallied 8 in the loss, Kyle Laveau and Trent Olson each scored 5, and Hunter Pauley, Luke Vine, and Garrett Stavang rounded it out with 2 a piece.

The Ogichida improve to 12-11 on the season and will look the keep their winning streak alive on Friday, February 13th when they travel to play Prairie Seeds Academy. The Wrens fall to 15-7 on the season and will host McGregor on February 13th.
