Mustangs Shut out Rebels

Nick Burski scored the natural hat trick Tuesday night as the Mora Mustangs shut out the Moose Lake Area Rebels by a score of 5-0 in boys hockey action at Riverside Arena in Moose Lake.

Burski’s first goal came at 5:11 of the first period as Mora took a 1-0 lead after one period. The Mustangs made in 4-0 after two periods as they outshot the Rebels 22-8 in the period. Burski, Tyler Orr, and Austin Peterson all scored int he second period.

The Mustangs continued their onslaught again out shooting the Rebels 14-2 in the third period and the lone goal came from Burski on the power play early in the third period.

Logan McNaulty stopped 45 shots on the night in goal for the Rebels. Teddy Blenkush stopped 15 shots in the shutout victory for Mora.

The Rebels fall to 4-15 on the season and they will take on Pine City this Friday, the Mustangs move to 12-7-1 and the host Princeton Friday night at the Mora Civic Center Arena.
