Kadin Ferguson scored an even-strength goal with just :07 remaining in the third period to lift Duluth Denfeld past Warroad 3-2 in a non conference high school boys hockey game Saturday afternoon at The Gardens in Warroad, Minn.

Ben Scrignoli and Cameron McClure assisted on the game-winning goal. McClure also scored two goals, as the Hunters rallied after trailing 2-0 just four minutes into the game.

Westley Cooke stopped 27 of 29 shots for Denfeld (15-5), which outshot Warroad 19-7 in the third period.

Eighth-ranked Duluth Denfeld improved to 13-5 overall with a 3-1 victory at No. 10 Thief River Falls in a non-conference high school boys hockey game Friday night.

Cody Budisalovich, Jake DeCaro and Nick Thompson scored goals for the Hunters, and junior goaltender River Alander stopped 18 of 19 shots.

Duluth Denfeld plays host to Eveleth-Gilbert on Tuesday and faces Duluth Marshall Thursday at Mars Lakeview Arena.
