Bulldogs Fall To MLWR

The Carlton Bulldogs hosted the Moose Lake Willow River Rebels on Friday night, falling 84-68.

The Rebels held the slight 37-33 advantage at the half, but turned up the jets in the second half, outscoring the Bulldogs 47-35 to secure the 16 point victory.

Rex Janke and Charlie Adamczak led the way for the Rebels, scoring 25 and 24 respectively. Brad Fossum added 16 points in the win and Isaac Riihiluoma hit double digits with 10 points. Also scoring for the Rebels was Ikki Kinoshitu with 4, Kody Gerard scoring 3, and Joshua Butterfield tallying 2.

In the loss for the Bulldogs, Tyler Ojibway led the way, scoring a team high 25 points including 5 three pointers. Cade Pierson followed with 12 points and Adam Ermatinger hit double digits with 10. Also scoring for the Bulldogs was Jackson Mickle with 8, Eric Soderstrom with 6, Dominic Bennett added 4, and Efren Morales-Cruz topped it off with 3 points.

The MLWR Rebels improve to 7-7 on the season and will look for another win on January 19th when they travel to play the Cloquet Lumberjacks. The Bulldogs drop to 4-9 on the year and will look to snap their 4 game losing streak against the McGregor Mercuries on January 20th.
