Lady Eskomos Edge Cardinals

The Esko Eskomos took on the Cromwell Cardinals on Thursday night, edging them 60-54.

The Eskomos led at the half 29-24 and continued their ways in the second half, outscoring the Cardinals 31-30 in the 2nd half to grab the victory.

Ava Gonsorowski led the way for the Eskomos, scoring a game high 22 points. Molly Trapp followed with 15 and Bailey Mudek added 11 in the win. Also scoring for the Eskomos was Ashley Bergerson with 5, Karlie Kulas with 4, and Mandi Dincau with 3.

In the loss for the Cardinals, Teanna Hakamaki had a team high 15 points followed by Chelsea Swatek who scored 13. Also scoring for the Cardinals was Kiiera Anderson with 8, Andrea Hakamaki with 5, Kelly Susa and Kaylan Risacher each with 4, and Bailey Gronner topped it off with 3.

The Eskomos improve to 13-2 and extend their winning streak to 11. They will look for another win on January 19th when they travel to play Duluth Denfeld. The Cromwell Cardinals fall to 10-2 on the season and will look to bounce back January 19th when they travel to take on the Wrenshall Wrens.
