Superior Captures Spartan Classic

Johnny Carson – NSO

The Superior Spartans won their home Spartan Classic Saturday as Superior out distanced the Cloquet-Esko Lumberjacks as they finished second overall.

Superior ended with 182 points to take home first place while the Lumberjacks ended in second with 165.5 points in this ten team meet.

Eau Claire was third with 147.5 points, Proctor ended in tenth place with 16 points on the day.

Individual winners included at 113 Seth Stevens of Cloquet-Esko taking first place, at 120 it was Daniel Stevens of Cloquet-Esko, at 138 Mitchell Borchardt was the winner, while Connor Denman won the 140 pound weight class.
