The Two Harbors Agates have had a successful season, and they continued that success on Wednesday night, routing Deer River 36-3 in the season finale.

Two Harbors got the first points up on the board when Alex Lemke plunged into the end zone from a yard out. That put the Agates up 7-0 in the first quarter. In the 2nd quarter, the Two Harbors defense came up with some points, forcing a safety, putting them up 9-0. They would continue to cruise, going up 15-0 after Taylor Ross went in the end zone from just a yard. Lemke then hooked up with Derek Blair from 27 yard to give the Agates a 22-0 lead going into the half.

The 2nd half saw Lucas Kempffer run from 18 yards out to increase the Agate lead to 29-0. Two Harbors would score one final time, when Ricky Hietala scampered for 4 yards into the end zone, giving the Agates a 36-0 lead. Ben Eby from Deer River connected on a 30 yard field goal for Deer Rivers lone points as the Agates cruised to the 36-3 victory.

Two Harbors end their regular season with a 6-2 record. They will go into the playoffs as a 2 seed and will host International Falls on October 21st in their first playoff game.
