The Duluth East Greyhounds snapped their 20 game losing streak last night, topping their rivals, the Duluth Denfeld Hunters, 18-6.

Neither team got going early on, ending the 1st quarter and a 0-0 tie. Duluth East ended that fast when Andy Kimball got into the end zone from 4 yards out to give the Greyhounds the 6-0 lead. Later in the quarter, Kenyatta Mooers would connect with Mark Holliday from 7 yards out to increase the lead to 12-0 going into the half.

Duluth Denfeld would cut into the Duluth East lead in the 3rd quarter, when Tommy Jackson found Kadin Ferguson on a 16 yard pass to cut the Duluth East lead in half, but Duluth East’s Andre Hanks secured the victory for the Greyhounds after returning a fumble recovery 14 yards to give them the 18-6 victory.

The Greyhounds, who’s last win came in 2012, are now 1-6 on the year and will look to get another victory on Wednesday when they travel to Buffalo to take on the Bison (2-5) at 7:00PM. The Duluth Denfeld Hunters fall to 0-7 on the year and will look to get their first win next Wednesday when they host the Monticello Magic (4-3) at 7:00PM.
