The Carlton Bulldogs hosted the Wrenshall Wrens on Friday night for the first time ever in 9-man football. The Wrens would get the best of the Bulldogs however, winning 35-0.

The 1st quarter was nothing short of exciting. While there was no scoring, the defensive battle kept the fans intrigued and the players pumped up. In the 2nd quarter, the Wrens would score midway through after Luke Vine plunged into the end zone from 1 yard out, putting them up 7-0.

The Wrenshall defense would force another punt from the Bulldogs and they would take complete advantage, when Vine connected with Hunter Pauly for a 51 yard touchdown, increasing the lead to 14-0 going into the half.

In the second half, the Bulldogs looked to have a promising drive when Jaryd Soukkala broke a long run, but the Wrens would tighten their defense up and force the Bulldogs to punt once again.
