Wrens win Fourth Straight

The Wrenshall Wrens Volleyball team picked up their fourth straight victory Thursday night as the Wrens defeated the McGregor Mercuries in a Polar League and a sectional contest.

The Wrens garnered wins by the scores of 25-22, 25-21, and 25-12.

Outside Hitter Keely-Shae Dianoski led the Wrens with 11 digs on the night and she was 16-16 serving for a 100% serving ratio. Tatum Swanson finished with 9 kills and 4 blocks, while Delaney Kittel added 5 kills.

Chloe Swanson had 14 set assists and 5 kills, Abby Belcastro also finished 100% serving on the night, and she also added 2 ace serves for the Wrens.

The Wrens improve to 7-6 overall with their victory Thursday night, and they will be back in action again on Saturday when they will take part in the Two Harbors Volleyball Tournament.

The Mercuries fall to 6-10 on the season and they will participate in the Walker-Hankensack-Ackley Tournament this Saturday.
