Justice Janke hits 1000th Career Kill

BABBITT, Minn— South Ridge Senior Justice Janke recorded her 1000th kill Monday night at Northeast Range High School in the Panthers 3-1 win over the Nighthawks.  At the beginning of the game Janke needed 16 to hit 1000, and she ended the night with 23 kills.

Janke started her first Varsity game in 8th grade and her first kill was also recorded at Northeast Range. She ended her 8th grade season with a total of 134 kills.

Her Freshman year she would end the year with 210, and Sophomore year 273. Last year she earned 310 kills, and her Senior year she is currently at 82 and counting.

“You need 1000 good passes and 1000 good sets to reach 1000 kills,” said Janke, “I just want to thank everyone that helped me get there, I didn’t earn this on my own!”

Her total as of today is 1009.  Congratulations Justice! We look forward to watching you the rest of the season!
