Rebels Comeback over Dragons

Pine City- The Moose Lake Willow-River Rebels broke open a tie game at halftime (14-14) Friday night, when the exploded for four second half touchdowns to beat the Pine City Dragons by a score of 42-14.
David Moonen ran for three touchdowns to pace the Rebels as Head Coach Dave Louzek added his 150th victory to his list of accomplishments as the Rebesl scored 34 unanswered points in the victory.
The Rebels had a huge stop at their own 2 yard line as Pine City was unable to push the ball across the goal line which would have given the Dragons the lead.
Thomas Hansen set up the go ahead touchdown with a 78 yard run down inside the 5 yard line which Moonen ran into the end zone two plays later.
The Rebels added three more touchdowns in the fourth quarter as the Rebels defense stepped up continuously allowing the Rebels to have a short field to seal the win. Charlie Adamczak had 12 tackles to lead the defense.
The Rebels move to 2-1 overall and they will host Eveleth-Gilbert Friday night in Willow River, and the Dragons suffer their first setback of the season they are 2-1 and they will play at Aitkin next Friday night.
