The Proctor Rails and International Falls Broncos found themselves locked into a defensive battle Friday evening, with the Rails edging the Broncos 7-6, thanks to 3 interceptions.

The Rails were only able to muster 86 yards on the ground and complete 1/12 passing for 14 yards, but it wasn’t until the 4th quarter that they found the end zone when Colin Ganem rushed in from 1 yard out and Tanner Bergman converted the kick.

International Falls would answer when Ben Humbert connected with Jake Eide to cut the lead to 7-6. The Broncos went for the victory, but failed to convert the 2 point conversion, giving the Rails their first win on the year.

The Rails are now 1-2 on the season and will look for another win when they play Greenway/Nashwauk (1-2) at home on September 19th. The Broncos dropped to 0-3 on the season.
